DMX: Brain Function Not Improving, Family Are Faced With Tough Decision To Withdraw Life Support

This past week has been really tough for the music and entertainment world. Hip hop legend DMX who suffered an overdose that also triggered a heart attack last weekend which left him in a “vegetative state” has not regained any brain function. He has been on life support since April 2. According to TMZ reports, this has left his family with the heartbreaking choice on whether or not to pull the plug on the life support machines.

Sources close to the family states that tests conducted on the rapper/actor yesterday showed no improvement in his brain activity after being rushed to the ER in White Plains, NY. The award winning rapper who was born Earl Simmons, remains in a coma and the test prognosis are not good. it is not looking good for rap legend. Many fans as well as members of the music and entertainment industry have been showing their love and support for DMX and praying nonstop for him

to pull through.

When news first broke of the rap icon hospitalization on Saturday April 2, many members of the hip hop world shared photos of the legend and offered prayers for his speedy recovery. Snoop Dogg shared a photo on his Instagram page with this caption. “ 🙏🏾 prayers for my dogg. @dmx”. Legendary DJ Kid Capri shared a post via Instagram, "Pull through legend @dmx". Fat Joe posted a photo on his Instagram page with the caption, “TS 🙏🏽❤️ X”.

Hip hop legend Chuck D from Public Enemy shared this post. “Prayers up for @dmx please🙏🏾🙏🏾”. Def Jam Records official Instagram page shared a video clip of DMX with the following caption. “Prayers up for DMX”. DJ Clue also shared a post. “Praying For My Guy @dmx”. West coast legend rapper and producer DJ Quik posted a photo via social media with the caption, “🙏🏽 For My Guy @dmx”.

Atlanta rap legend T.I. posted a photo of himself with the rap icon with this caption. "Shake back Big Bro. We made plans Maaaan We got s**t to do!!!
